We have assembled a team of  25 Tel Aviv University engineering

students from different backgrounds to take part as the first Israeli

team to compete in an international autonomous boat challenge

called RoboBoat (www.roboboat.org).

In the RoboBoat competition teams have one year to design, build

and deploy a fully Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) that can

navigate an obstacle course that will tests the boats to their limits

during the main event in Sarasota Florida. In order to excel in this

challenge we built an ASV capable precisely mapping its

immediate vicinity using LIDAR, Computer Vision and an array of

other sensors.
